Join us for weekly Workshare
In exchange for volunteering 3-4 hours on the farm each week you can earn a share of what's currently growing in the fields.
Workshare Details:
-
We truly count on our dependable workshare help and need you to commit to the same schedule each week.
-
Expect to help with planting, weeding, creating/amending beds, shoveling, harvesting, labeling, washing vegetables and totes, seeding..... plus an assortment of many other farm chores.
-
Be prepared to work outside in the sun, rain, heat & cold. Many jobs require bending over, kneeling, shoveling, squatting, or lifting.
-
You'll need to be dressed appropriately for the weather and supply your own gloves, water bottles, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, rain gear, and footwear. Tall ankled shoes are highly recommended.
Workshares truly help our farm! The work isn't difficult but it can be strenuous on your body. You also don’t have to know how to farm – we’ll show you what to do. Being dependable and able to make a commitment is very important. Communication is also key!
We have been asked if Workshare members can bring their children or grandchildren. For reasons of safety, security, and liability, we need to discuss this up front - and together determine if your child will thrive in our environment and with our systems. Let's talk.
VOLUNTEER
Volunteer opportunities exist on the farm too! If you cannot commit to a workshare but still want to get your hands in the dirt, reach out to us! We never run out of farm chores and projects that need to be tackled.
